ConsumerWatch: Home Depot Looking To Hire 1,500 In Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) - The Home Depot is looking to hire 80,000 seasonal workers, and several hundred of those jobs are expected to land in the Bay Area.

While it may feel like winter across most of the country, the home improvement chain says it is already preparing for spring when stores need the extra help.

The big box home improvement chain is planning on adding 1,500 jobs in the Bay Area as part of a hiring surge announced Wednesday.

Many of the jobs will be in building supplies sales, and garden equipment.

Last year, half of the seasonal hires ended up with full-time employment, the store said.

Anyone interested can apply on The Home Depot website.
