Car Strikes 2 Teens In San Leandro, Driver Critically Injured
SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) -- A woman is in critical condition after veering off a road near a high school in San Leandro Friday afternoon and hitting two teens, a police sergeant said.
The teens were taken to a hospital for observation and did not suffer major injuries.
The woman, in her late 40s, was driving southbound on Bancroft Avenue when she veered off the road near San Leandro High School, crashed into a tree and struck two teens, police Sgt. Dough Calcagno said.
She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
It was not immediately known what caused the woman to veer off the road, Calcagno said.
