Bow Tie-Wearing Classmates Support SF Catholic Schoolgirl After Tuxedo Photo Pulled From Yearbook

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Students at a San Francisco Catholic school showed up to class Friday wearing bowties and ties in solidarity with a senior who learned her graduation portrait photo would not be in the school's yearbook because she was wearing a tuxedo.

Meanwhile, the hashtag #JessicaTux has gained a viral following on Twitter and a Twitter account with the handle "@JessicasTux" was set up featuring hundreds of photos and retweeted messages of solidarity.

The family of Jessica Urbina met with school officials privately Friday over a possible change in policy, after Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory indicated the photo would not be included in the yearbook nor displayed during the graduation ceremony.

On Friday afternoon, the school posted a new statement on their website which appeared to retierate that Urbina's tuxedo photo would not be included in the yearbook.

Jessica said she plans to wear a suit and tie to graduation.

The @JessicasTux Twitter account has added more than 200 followers since tweeted its first message less than 24 hours ago.
