Black Face Paint Ineffective In Fooling Police Seeking Stolen Car Suspect In Central Valley
MADERA, Madera County (CBS SF) -- A Central Valley stolen car suspect who police say spray painted his face black to avoid detection was nevertheless arrested despite his disguise.
Police said 23-year-old Jose Espinoza fled from officers arriving at his home in Madera to arrest him Saturday night for alleged vehicle theft and possession of a stolen car.
Later in the evening, police said Espinoza returned to his home after painting his face black to camouflage himself.
According to the Madera Police Dept. Facebook page, "the camouflage was ineffective."
Espinoza was booked into Madera County Jail early Sunday morning.
