A popular hobby almost as old as the national pastime itself, collecting sports memorabilia has evolved to become a billion dollar business. But not every sports collector has the experience or the finances to purchase valuable baseball cards like a 1909 Honus Wagner or Mickey Mantle's rookie card from 1952. While collecting sports memorabilia is more popular than ever, novice collectors can learn about making the right choice by visiting a local sports collectible store. Here are five of the best in the Bay Area.
