As State Suffers Through Drought, SF Asks Residents To Cut Use
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco city officials asked residents Friday to cut back on their water usage.
Over two million customers in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alameda counties use water from the Hetch Hetchy regional water system, and as the population rises and a drought continues, the reservoir levels are low.
A lot of people say they are already trying to cut their usage.

"I just try to cut down as much as possible, not wash the car as much, not water the lawn as much," said Brian from San Mateo.
The Sierra snowpack is also at a record low, at just twelve percent of normal.
