CHP issues Amber Alert for girl taken in Newark believed to be in imminent danger
A 6-year-old girl last seen in Newark is believed to be in imminent danger, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.
The Amber Alert for Deleyah Mendoza was issued around 7 a.m. in Alameda and Santa Clara counties, and she was last seen Friday around 11:30 p.m., near Baine Avenue and Cherry Street.
She was last seen with Donovan Blair, according to the CHP. Blair, 24, is 5 feet, 10 inches, 190 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. They are believed to be in a 2009-'11 gray Honda Insight, with temporary license plate 93742245.
Mendoza is 4 feet tall and 50 pounds, and she was last seen wearing white/pink striped pajamas, a cheetah print backpack and pink flip-flops.
The Amber Alert was issued on behalf of Newark police.
