SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was caught on camera in a brazen attack on a liquor store clerk in unincorporated San Jose earlier this month and is asking for the public's help to find him.
Sheriff's officials say Justin Johnson, 25, is the man who entered the liquor store in the 400 block of Bascom Avenue around 7:40 p.m. on June 16, stole liquor bottles and cigarettes and attacked a store clerk when confronted, according to sheriff's officials.
Security camera footage shows the suspect raising a bottle above his head to threaten the store employee, then throwing bottles at the clerk and striking him several times.
When the clerk tried to defend himself, the suspect punched him repeatedly, according to sheriff's officials.
The suspect fled when another customer entered the store and tried to stop the attack.
Sheriff's officials have released a photo of Johnson, who has two outstanding felony arrest warrants.
The suspect is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 210 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes, according to the sheriff's office.
Anyone who knows Johnson's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office immediately at (408) 299-2311 or 911.
