3 Raiders, 2 Niners Named To Pro Bowl Roster

OAKLAND (CBS) - Four defensive standouts and one of the leagues all-time great punters will represent the Bay Area at the Pro Bowl in Honolulu on January 30th.

Inside linebacker Patrick Willis made his fourth consecutive pro bowl, after quickly earning a reputation as one of the most dominant defensive players in the league. Defensive end Justin Smith, who is second on the 49ers with 5 1/2 sacks, will join his teammate in Hawaii.

The Raiders will be represented by franchise standouts cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and punter Shane Lechler. They will be joined by veteran defensive end Richard Seymour, who earned his sixth invite to the all-star event after moving to Oakland last season following years of success in New England.

The Raiders announced that defensive tackle Tommy Kelly, tight end Zach Miller, running back Darren McFadden and punter Sebastian Janikowski were named as alternates. Tight end Vernon Davis is an alternate for San Francisco.
