Skyscrapers made out of wood? downtown Sacramento could see one in the future

It could be a game-changer in the construction world. Mass timber, as it’s called, was just cleared to be used to build in Sacramento. Instead of concrete or steel – developers essentially use wood panels nailed or glued together to build high-rise buildings. The material is fire-resistant and significantly cuts down on carbon emissions.
