Sheriff's office leaked information prior to wiretapping of Flores' phones
Investigators in the Kristin Smart murder case admit they leaked information to a podcaster on purpose. A San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office investigator took the stand Tuesday (8/30), saying the leaks were part of the department's strategy. They then wire-tapped the Flores' family phones to see if they'd say something incriminating.
