Senate bill making child sex trafficking a serious felony in California passes out of the State Assembly Public Safety Committee

This comes after Governor Newsom helped revive the bill after Democrats on the committee declined the Republican-authored bill, putting it in danger of not passing this year. The bill now heads to the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
