Lawmakers approve measure to give power and protections to fast-food workers
On Monday afternoon, lawmakers approved a measure to give new power and protections--to half a million fast-food workers. The bill would create a 10-member council to set minimum standards for wages, hours and working conditions. It's not clear whether Governor Newsom will sign it.
