New data shows that the 23-campus California State University system received a record number of undergraduate applications for the coming fall term.
California State University is planning to reduce enrollment by more than 10,000 students to cope with anticipated cuts in state funding.
The chancellors of the University of California and California State University systems said Monday that they don't plan to seek student fees increases this year, despite a state budget proposal that calls for more than $1.4 billion in combined cuts to higher education.
