Woman Fears Sexual Predator On Loose In Sacramento Area

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A Sacramento woman who was raped, tied up and robbed is warning that her alleged rapist could strike again. She's already afraid he's behind a similar attack Tuesday.

Afraid to even be in her own home, the woman we'll call "Diane" is speaking out about the attack, fearing there may be a serial rapist in Sacramento.

"I just think he's going to somehow come through my door," Diane told CBS13 on Wednesday .

Last Friday, Diane dialed a chat line she's used before.

"He seemed really nice, you know, well educated," she said.

He told her his name was Marquis, he was 24 and he worked with the elderly at a retirement home in south Sacramento. She invited him over.

An hour later, he sat on Diane's couch until he asked her if they could listen to music. She took him to her room.

"All of a sudden he just puts a knife to my neck and told me to turn around," she said.

Without any warning she says the soft-spoken man turned into a monster, sexually assaulting her.

"Then he duct taped my feet and told me to put my hands behind my back."

He stuffed a sock in her mouth and put duct tape over it, then for an hour and a half went through her apartment robbing her.

"I just kept on asking him you know 'please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me.'"

Her attacker finally left, leaving her hogtied, but then she says the memories flooded back when she heard deputies were looking into whether the alleged rapist is the same man who attacked a woman Tuesday in Fair Oaks.

The cases are similar: strangers agreeing to meet, then later the victim is tied up, sexually assaulted and robbed.

Diane says she never fought back, telling herself to comply in order to survive.
"Just don't kill me," she said. "I just kept praying and praying."
