Tinder Tweets Outrage Following Vanity Fair's Article On App

SACRAMENTO (CBS Sacramento)-- Tinder went to Twitter to voice its outrage over a recent Vanity Fair article published, titled "Tinder and the Dawn of the 'Dating Apocalypse.'"

Tinder called out author Nancy Jo Sales for portraying the app in a "one-sided" fashion with an "incredibly biased view."

The editorial chronicles different experiences of 20-somethings and the apparent "hookup culture" created through Tinder and similar apps.

"I hooked up with three girls, thanks to the Internet, off of Tinder, in the course of four nights, and I spent a total of $80 on all three girls," one of the article's subjects, a 25-year-old named Nick, told Vanity Fair.

Tinder argues that some of the assumptions made are inaccurate and that Sales' small survey of Tinder users doesn't represent most of its community.
