The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2015 is right around the corner and there is so much more to these models and Angels than their catwalks down the runway. Find out some interesting facts about these Victoria’s Secret models.
Lily Aldridge is a model, mom and wife of Kings of Leon band member Caleb Followill. She spends her time between New York City and Nashville, Tennessee. She met her husband at a music festival and although she loves modeling, her favorite job is taking care of her daughter Dixie.
Alessandra Ambrosio is known for walking down the Victoria’s Secret runway in lingerie made of candy in 2005. She was the first ambassador for Victoria’s Secret PINK and in 2011 wore 30 pound wings down the runway. When she isn’t modeling she serves as the Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Kate Grigorieva was a runner up on a Russian version of a modeling competition TV show. Brains and beauty: she has a Bachelor’s Degree in marking, is an accomplished ballroom dancer, and made her debut in the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Taylor Hill was a gymnast before she became a model and was discovered while doing a photo shoot on a dude ranch in Colorado. When she’s not modeling she loves snowboarding and riding horses. She made her debut in 2014 at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show when she was 18.
Elsa Hosk was a professional basketball player in Sweden before becoming a model. She began walking for Victoria’s Secret in 2011 and is the current spokes model for the Victoria’s Secret PINK line. Hosk supports FAIR Girls, which is an anti-human-trafficking organization.
Martha Hunt walked her first runway in 2007 at Paris Fashion Week. Since then she has walked in over 180 fashion shows. Not only has Hunt been a part of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the past two years, she was featured in the Victoria’s Secret Swim Special in 2015.
Jac Jagaciak comes from a background of athletes. Her sister recently was declared Poland’s best long jumper and her father coached her in track and field. Jagaciak started modeling in her early teens and not only did she accomplish that but she also helped raise money to build two orphanages in Poland.
Adriana Lima is well known at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Not only has she worn the million-dollar Fantasy Bra three times, but she has opened up for the show five times. She made her debut in 2001 and in her spare time likes to play with her Maltese named Ivy.
Stella Maxwell has lived all over the world and loves road trips as well as camping. She’s ambidextrous and is very active on her Instagram account. She first walked for Victoria’s Secret in 2014.
Behati Prinsloo isn’t just a model but has made guest appearances in the CBS series “Hawaii Five-O” and in a music video for her husband. One day Prinsloo hopes to become a fashion photographer.
Lais Ribeiro in the first season of her modeling career walked in over 40 shows. When she isn’t modeling she loves to eat pizza, ride her motorcycle, and do a little salsa dancing. Ribeiro is an Ambassador for the Bottletop Foundation, which helps create jobs for women in Brazil and Africa.
Sara Sampaio is one Angel you might not want to mess with, because she has a brown belt in karate. She has been the voice and face of Victoria’s Secret PINK line since 2013. In her spare time she loves eating pancakes and traveling to Hawaii.
Romee Strijd spends time in her hometown Zoetermeer and New York City. She made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in 2014 and when she isn’t on the runway loved to cook and do interior designing.
Candice Swanepoel grew up on a dairy farm in South Africa and is fluent in Afrikaans, English and Portuguese. She was featured in the 2010 Victoria’s Secret Swim catalog and she is a Libra.
Jasmine Tookes was into softball, gymnastics and volleyball before she became a model at age 15. Her mother is a celebrity fashion stylist. Tookes appeared on an episode of “Hawaii Five-O.” Her favorite food is pizza and she hopes to own her own cosmetics line one day.
