The Don Geronimo Show - November 1, 2011
Today on The Don Geronimo Show, Don wants the listeners to bring down their Halloween pumpkins so the guys can throw them off the roof. Don then talks about his Halloween night giving away candy, and the dad who got snooty with Don because his kid is allergic to nuts, and at that point in the evening, Don only had candy bars (full size, mind you) with nuts in them. We also hear about a parent who didn't like the fun size play-doh Don and Janet were giving away as well. Dave and Joe then tell their stories of Halloween night with their children, and apparently both of their wives put makeup on their daughters, which neither of the guys liked very much. We also hear a tape of Joe's son Jack trying to say "Hannah is dressed like a witch," except "witch" doesn't come out right. Then Dave plays a tape of his daughter Avery from last night, in which she has a bit of a "valley girl" attitude, she probably got from her mother. Don then tells us about a DJ buddy of his in Omaha, NE who gets depressed every Halloween, and the guys ask if that's a real medical condition.
It is then time to play "$10 Pyramid." Dave and Craig team up against Little Joe and Phantom, and among the categories today: "All about Dave," "Cartoons," and "Things Don is gay for." After the game, Don, Dave, and Phantom go up to the roof to throw the pumpkins. Craig actually puts on Don's Chargers helmet and takes one of the smaller pumpkins off his head, ringing his bell pretty good and giving him a sore neck (do NOT try this!). Naked Lady Di stopped by the station for the big pumpkin drop, complete with an attitude and a foul mouth. After the drop, Don has Little Joe outside to talk to her, and she grosses him out so badly that he feels dirty the rest of the show.
Don then plays a few clips from the day's news, including Jet Blue passengers who were stuck on a tarmac in Hartford, CT FOR 7 hours, Ann Coulter's "Our blacks are better than your blacks" comment, and Jack Black too out of breath to give his a speech. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Bank of America is cancelling their debit card fee, Occupy Wall St. has its own law enforcement, and Beavis and Butthead's return to MTV drew 3 million viewers. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a happy ending!
