The Don Geronimo Show - July 11, 2012

Today is the 1 Year Anniversary of Don taking over the morning slot at 1140 The Fan, and he begins by telling us how much he appreciates all of his listeners, as well as all the guys on the show. He then calls Steve, who is about to take a flight to L.A. to shoot an infomercial, and will be out all week. We also hear about Don's visit to Raley's yesterday, and the two guys he was eavesdropping on, in which one of them had a wife he was going to leave, but was worried he had knocked her up. Don then tells us a few of his best Harv Moore stories, as the legendary disc jockey, who is also one of Don's biggest idols, will be on the show later. The guys also discuss the "@ITSDUBS" controversy.

Apparently, the girl named "Andrea" who owns the "@ITSDUBS" handle, has been posting the exact same photos as a Brazilian supermodel named Eva Andressa, and claiming they're of her. Don tries giving Andrea a call, but gets her voice mail.

We then get a visit from the legendary Harv Moore. Don talks to Harv about their days at WPGC in D.C., where Harv was a D.J. from 1963 to 1975. Harv tells us about getting to introduce The Beatles onstage, getting his start in radio after college, and discovering Don's new show in Sacramento! After Harv, we hear Charlie Sheen's speech for Slash, who got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, Robert Blake flipping out on Piers Morgan, and a gang rape joke by Daniel Tosh. The guys also talk about Howard Stern on "America's Got Talent" last night, and hear a few clips of his exchanges with Howie Mandel.

Our good buddy Frank Caliendo then drops by. Frank, who's in Ohio on vacation with his family, tells us about his 4th of July, dealing with his in-laws, why he thinks FOX NFL hasn't contacted him yet for the new season, and some possible sitcom ideas he has. After the guys talk about their favorite Steve Miller Band and Steely Dan songs, the guys play "Foreign or Domestic" with 7 Elevens across the country, in honor of 7-11 Day. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about Katie Holmes' secret divorce plans, Susan Boyle's unruly neighbors, the Octomom backing out of her stripper gig, and tells us what to watch on TV tonight. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
