Teen Shot, Killed In Parking Lot Of Riverside Church
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Police in Riverside are investigating the killing of a teenager who was shot in the parking lot of a church.
Investigators say the victim was walking with friends around 1:15 a.m. Sunday when they were confronted by the suspect and a fight broke out.
Police say the suspect pulled out a handgun, opened fire and then ran off.
The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/2bJdBsZ) officers found the victim with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of Central Community Christian Fellowship. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released but officials said he was in his late teens.
Detectives have not released a suspect description.
