Teen, 15, Arrested For Death of Parents

OAKLAND (AP) — Oakland police say the 15-year-old son of a couple found dead in a parked car outside their home is under arrest.

Police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said in a statement that the boy was arrested Saturday, a day after the bodies of 55-year-old Robert Kamin and 50-year-old Susan Poff were found outside their home in Lake Merritt.

She did not say what charges the son may face.

The pair was found after a concerned employer called police Friday saying one of them had not shown up for work.

Police interviewed neighbors and found nothing out of the ordinary, but returned hours later after receiving another call and found the two victims.

Police released the identity of the boy, but The Associated Press is withholding his name because he is a juvenile.
