UPDATE: Fire At Elk Grove Church Determined To Be Accidental
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Fire officials now say a fire at an Elk Grove church was accidental.
Crews quickly put out flames burning in an outbuilding next to the Church of Christ on Stockton Boulevard and Sheldon Road early Thursday morning.
A fire investigator has traced the origin of the fire to electrical wiring in an outbuilding next to the church.
They originally believed the blaze may have been intentionally set because there was a window broken out on the main church building and due to the time the fire started.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.
