Sonora Police Deploy Plastic Officer To Deter Speeders
SONORA (CBS13) – One local police department is deploying a new "officer" to try and deter speeders.
In a tongue-in-cheek post on their Facebook page Thursday morning, the Sonora Police Department introduces their newest addition – Officer Andrew Matthews.
Recently, police have stationed Officer Matthews along Morning Star Drive and East Lyons Road due to complaints of drivers speeding through those areas.
Sonora police say Officer Matthews spent "extensive" time training and trying to find the right pair of sunglasses.
