Forecast: Showers Continue On Tuesday
Rain is coming today out of the north and east Tuesday. It's circulating around the area of low pressure dragging the action slowly but surely into Central California and toward Vegas. It will also drag the showers into the valley later in the afternoon.
The forecast shows winds quieting down around lunchtime. At around that time, there's also a 30-percent chance more showers will drift to the foothills and into the valley.
As we head to Wednesday, the valley will stay dry. All of Northern California will be drying out considerably on Thursday.
Today's highs:
- 76 in Turlock
- 74 in Modesto
- 75 in Elk Grove
- 74 in Folsom
- 75 in Oroville
- 68 in Auburn
- 62 in Pollock Pines
Heading to the mountains this afternoon there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms, not a lot of snow, with highs in the low 50s around Tahoe and Truckee.
As we dry out, temperatures will continue to rise to 78 tomorrow and will be back to the 80s by the end of the work week.
