FRENCH CAMP, Calif. (CBS13) – San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman they say started a fire outside her apartment complex.

Fire crews were called to a dumpster fire in the 750 block of South El Dorado Street in French Camp late Sunday night.

After extinguishing the fire, witnesses told firefighters a woman inside one of the apartments had started the fire by throwing a burning object from her apartment into the dumpster.

Deputies arrived and arrested Tanesha Scruggs after she admitted to setting the blaze.

She was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail and booked on charges of arson and attempted arson.
