Sacramento Stabbing Suspect Arrested After 2 Chases

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Authorities have arrested an armed suspect who led officers and deputies on two chases.

Richard Sharp, 52, was arrested after the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says he stabbed another man outside a Pick-n-Pull business.

When deputies arrived on scene, they say Sharp fled. Deputies chased sharp to a neighborhood near Power Inn Road and Elsie Avenue where he barricaded himself inside his car for almost two hours.

Sharp then led Sacramento police on a second chase that ended near 40th Street and 8th Avenue where he again refused to get out.

Police say tear gas got Sharp out of the car five hours after the original stabbing.

Officers arrested Sharp without further incident.
