Sacramento Regional Transit Board Approves Fare Hike
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Public transit rates are going up in Sacramento.
Late Monday night, Sacramento's Regional Transit's board of directors approved the first phase of a 20-percent fare increase.
The hike was proposed back in January as a way to offset a looming $2.7 million deficit.
Fare changes take effect on July 1. A basic monthly pass will cost $110, a senior/disabled monthly pass will cost $55, and a paratransit monthly pass will cost $137.50.
