Sacramento Man Pleads Guilty To Sending Teen Girl Obscene Pictures, Texts

SACRAMENTO (CBS) - A Sacramento man pleaded guilty Monday to sending obscene materials to a 13-year-old Florida girl, according to the Department of Justice.

Eric Montane-Darab, 23, made the plea in federal court.

According to court documents filed in Florida, deputies from the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) identified Montane-Darab as the man who sent two obscene pictures of himself along with sexually explicit text messages through the Internet to a 13-year-old girl.

Deputies say Montane-Darab admitted to communicating with the girl through an online game, Kingdom of War, and admitted sending her a picture.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 9 and is facing a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.

The ICAC is a federally and state-funded task force managed by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department with agents from federal, state, and local agencies who investigate online child exploitation crimes, including child pornography, enticement and sex trafficking.
