Sacramento firefighters rescue 2 workers after scaffolding malfunction outside building
Two construction workers were rescued in Sacramento after the scaffolding they were on had a malfunction.
The Sacramento Fire Department says the workers were apparently installing some protective netting on the side of the building near 15th and Q streets.
It appears the scaffolding failed when one worker got onto it, throwing it out of balance and leaving the construction worker dangling in a protective fall device.
A rescue company was dispatched and were able to hook onto the workers, bringing them down safely.
In all, firefighters say the rescue operation took around a half-hour.
Both workers weren't hurt in the incident, authorities say.
