Police: Suspect Who Stole A Car Is Shot By Victim's Brother
PHOENIX (AP) — Police say a man is recovering from a gunshot wound after he was chased down while stealing a car in Phoenix.
Shortly before midnight Saturday, Phoenix police say a man saw the 18-year-old suspect steal his brother's vehicle from the driveway of a home.
The unidentified 29-year-old man got in his own car and chased the suspect as he fled in the stolen vehicle.
The man continued to follow his brother's stolen vehicle and shot at the car when he said the suspect pointed a gun at him.
Police say the stolen vehicle was located a short distance away and the suspect was taken to a Phoenix hospital.
He remained hospitalized Sunday with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect's name hasn't been released by police.
