UPDATE: Teen Shot By Another Teen While Playing With Gun
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento police say two 16-year-olds were playing with a gun when it went off, striking one of them.
Police were first alerted to the shooting Monday morning when a young man was brought to UC Davis Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound. The person who brought the victim in told emergency room technicians the incident happened at a house on Fairbanks and Cloyd streets.
After investigating, police determined the teens were apparently playing with a handgun in the backyard of the home when it went off, grazing one of the teens in the ear.
The shooter has been arrested.
