Police Say Estranged Husband Killed Wife, Shot Man And Then Killed Himself

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento Police say an estranged husband shot and killed his wife and shot another man before killing himself early Sunday morning.

Police were called to home in the 1600 block of Meadowview Road just after midnight for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. A woman in her 20's was pronounced deceased. A man in his 20's was shot in the lower body with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was known to the victims and the injured man was able to give police a description of him and his vehicle. Several minutes later, officers found the suspect driving just outside Elk Grove.

Officers from Sacramento Police and Elk Grove police stopped the vehicle, but the suspect fatally shot himself inside the car.

After investigating, police learned the victims were in a dating relationship and the suspect was the woman's estranged husband.
