STOCKTON (CBS13) - Stockton police say that a man shot and killed Tuesday night in Stockton is related to a 3-year-old girl who was killed by a stray bullet in a car.

Officers were called to Madrid Drive near Farmington Road around 9 p.m. There they found a 32-year-old unidentified man with a gunshot wound outside of a home. He was rushed to a hospital in Modesto where he died.

Stockton Police say the victim is a relative of Melanie Martinez, the 3-year-old girl who was shot and killed by a stray bullet in South Stockton last week.

Police are not sure how the two victims are related.

Police do not have any suspects or a possible motive in either case.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in the shooting of Melanie.
