Police: Man Waving Gun Shot To Death After Pointing It At Cops In North Sacramento
NORTH SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A man was shot and killed after officers say he was waving a gun in the street, then pointed it at them.
The shooting happened on Date Avenue near Madison Avenue in North Sacramento.
Deputies investigating the shooting say a California Highway Patrol officer saw the man's gun and called for help. He demanded the suspect put his gun down. The suspect refused and later pointed the gun, forcing two officers to open fire.
The suspect was taken to the hospital, but later died of his injuries.
