Police: Living Room Of Stockton Home Converted Into Casino
STOCKTON (CBS13) – Authorities say they discovered a makeshift casino inside of a Stockton home being investigated.
The discovery was made on Monday. Stockton police say officers from the gang unit, parole and corrections team and the AB109 Task Force showed up at a home along the 2000 block of S. San Joaquin Street for a follow-up investigation.
At the home, a 38-year-old man with a loaded handgun next to him was found in a bedroom. A loaded magazine for an assault rifle was also spotted by officers.
Officers say the living room of the home was converted into a casino, complete with a craps table and numerous slot machines.
A further sweep of the house uncovered another loaded handgun, a loaded Mini-14 assault rifle, and about 1.5 pounds of crystal meth.
The man, identified as Benddy Carolino, was arrested. He is facing narcotics and firearms charges.
