Missing Teen Found, Two People Detained

SUISUN CITY (CBS13) – Investigators are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the reported kidnapping of a Solano County teen who was later found unharmed at a Vallejo home.

The Suisun City Police Department said officers found received a tip that missing 17-year-old Christina Almanza was currently at a home in Vallejo, and when authorities arrived, they spotted a vehicle matching the description of the minivan mentioned in the Amber Alert in front of the home.

At some point, officers spotted a girl matching Almanza's description walking out of the home, but when the subject spotted police, she went back inside.

When police knocked on the door and tried to enter the home, a dog attacked officers, who shot and killed the dog, investigators said.

Authorities found Almanza inside the home and detained two others. It is not immediately clear whether the teen was being held against her will or not.

Police have not said whether any charges are pending in connection with the alleged disappearance.
