Police: 3 Shot, Injured In Home In Central California
MERCED, Calif. (AP) — Three people were shot at a San Joaquin Valley home Friday and police arrested the man they believe pulled the trigger after a standoff.
Police were called to the home in Merced shortly before 1 p.m.
The Merced Sun-Star reports (http://bit.ly/2e5LYLA) that a 52-year-old man surrendered and the trio, believed to be family members, were taken to local hospitals.
The names and ages of those shot were not released and information about their conditions was not immediately available. Police also did not release the identity of the man they arrested.
Police blocked roads to the area around the single family home and the incident prompted officials at a nearby high school to put the campus on lockdown.
