Oroville Army Sergeant Receives Brand New Home Through Operation Homefront

OROVILLE (CBS13) — An Army sergeant has been welcomed to Oroville with the keys to a brand new home, mortgage free.

Wells Fargo donated the home to Operation Homefront who presented it to Sgt. T.J. Norton. He served five years in the Army, including a deployment in Iraq.

The single father applied after learning two friends also received homes through the program.

He said he couldn't have done it without the friends at his side.

"Other people that are here today support me, I got a real good circle of support, and I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them, honestly," he said.

Operation Homefront is a partnership between Wells Fargo and the Homefront program.
