Multiple People Treated After Chemical Spill At Galt Building
GALT (CBS13) – Authorities say more than a dozen people are being evaluated after a chemical spill at an industrial building in Galt.
The scene is at the Cal Waste Recovery Systems Building on Enterprise Court, off Industrial Drive.
Cosumnes Fire says a chemical spilled in front of the building around 6:30 a.m. Friday. First responders are dealing with 17 patients and expect to transport about 12 of them for further evaluation.
A hazardous material team is at the scene to figure out what exact chemical spilled.
The building has been evacuated.
