Missing Sacramento Airman's Body Found
ANCHORAGE (CBS13) - A Sacramento mother was working tirelessly to find her son. Now, the body of Airman Clinton Reeves has been officially identified after being pulled from the side of a road in Anchorage.
Friends and fellow military members are mourning the loss of the 24-year-old.
"Senior Airman Reeves is a beautiful human being," said Lt. Col. Patricia Csank. "He enjoyed what he did; he had a great love of mission."
Now, Senior Airman Jason Thomas, 24, is accused of tampering with evidence relating to Reeves' disappearance.
He's had different versions of the last time he saw Reeves and detectives say they have evidence of "a violent incident" in the suspect's home. However, cops are stopping short of calling him a killer.
"At this time, we can't say that he is responsible specifically, but we will certainly be looking hard at him," said Lt. Dave Parker of the Anchorage Police Department.
As a shadow of suspicion looms over one airman, a community grieves the loss of another.
