Man Wanted For Delivering Fatal Blow During Bar Fight In Escalon Arrested
ESCALON (CBS13) - A man suspected of killing another man in Escalon after a bar fight has been caught by police.
Investigators from the Modesto Police Department Gang Unit on Monday night stopped a vehicle in the area of Geer Road and Hatch Road. Inside was Rocky Overturf, who, police say, hit the victim outside the Valley Inn bar on Main Street early Sunday morning and drove away.
During the fight, the 36-year-old victim, Aaron Messick, fell to the ground and suffered a fatal brain injury.
Overturf was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of murder.
