Katt Williams Pleads No Contest To Evading Police In November Chase
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Comedian Micah "Katt" Williams pleaded no contest in Sacramento Superior Court Thursday morning to charges of police evasion.
On Nov. 25, Williams allegedly led a California Highway Patrol officer on a chase on his three-wheeled motorcycle through the streets of downtown Sacramento.
The comedian was sentenced to serve 400 hours of community service and three years unsupervised probation.
Williams was in Sacramento for a show in November. The CHP officer spotted him driving the three-wheeled motorcycle on the sidewalks of L Street before turning onto a section of K Street closed to traffic.
After Williams reportedly rode the wrong way on Capitol Street with speeds reaching up to 35 mph, CHP called off the pursuit for safety reasons.
He would later miss a court date related to the incident, resulting in his arrest in Los Angeles.
Shortly after the incident with CHP, Williams was arrested in Yolo County for allegedly assaulting a Woodland Target employee.
