Big rig fire near Colfax closes westbound I-80 in the Sierra
A big rig fire closed westbound Interstate 80 east of Colfax on Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
Exactly what caused the truck to catch fire remains unclear.
Westbound traffic was being diverted off the interstate near Rollins Lake Road and Secret Town Lane.
Authorities have not provided an estimated reopening time.
