Paul McCartney To Be First Show At Golden 1 Center

Update: Sir Paul McCartney will be the first show at Golden 1 Center, officials announced Monday morning.

McCartney will be playing at the brand new arena on October 4.

Tickets will be going on sale to the general public on May 6 at 10 a.m. American Express card members can buy tickets a little earlier (May 3 at 10 a.m. through May 5 at 10 p.m.).

It will be McCartney's first show in Sacramento in more than 10 years.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – We will soon know who the first performer will be at the brand new Golden 1 Center.

At 11 a.m. on Monday, arena executives will announce details about the first show to happen at the new arena.

A projection was put up on the side of Golden 1 Center on Sunday, teasing people with "big news tomorrow."

Maroon 5 already announced an October 15 performance, while Jimmy Buffet will be playing on October 20.
