Update: Gas Tanker Overturned On HWY 99/ Briggsmore In Modesto
Update: CHP Dispatch has told us the roadways are still closed and are estimated to clear in 2-3 hours.
SACRAMENTO (CBS13)- A gas tanker rolled over at the Briggsmore exit on HWY 99 in Modesto around 2:45 AM this morning and is still waiting to be towed.
CHP Merced Dispatch confirmed the gas tanker was turned over and leaking gas from an accident this morning with CalTrans assisting in the clean up.
That part of the highway has been completely closed since early this morning but CHP says it is going to open around 1:00 PM this afternoon.
