Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations In Sacramento Near Broadway
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A gas leak has prompted evacuations in one Sacramento neighborhood.
The scene is near 21st Street and 2nd Avenue. Sacramento Fire says residents from 2nd to Castro - about 35 homes - have been evacuated due to the leak.
Crews expect to be out at the scene for at least two hours. Drivers who need to go through should note that 21st Street in the area has been closed in both directions.
PG&E crews are working to shut off the leak.
It is unclear what caused the leak.
