Fire Burns At Campus Commons Apartment Complex
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – An apartment unit near Sacramento State University caught fire on Wednesday morning and was evacuated, according to firefighters.
Flames could be seen shooting from the roof of one of the units in a fourplex in the Campus Commons area at University Avenue and American River Drive.
The fire appeared to be contained to only one unit.
CBS13's Nick Janes spoke with the resident of the complex who says he was awoken by the smoke detector. However, he didn't see any flames until he went outside and saw the roof of the building on fire.
No one has been reported hurt.
