End In Sight For 'Across The Top' Project As Some Lanes Reopen
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Caltrans officials say the "Across the Top" project is nearly finished.
The westbound lanes of Interstate 80, including bus and carpool lanes, are now striped and back open.
The eastbound lanes should open sometime this month.
Crews still need to stripe the lanes on the eastbound side.
Caltrans says weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the now five-year-long project that cost $136 million.
