Elk Grove Crash Sends Car Plunging Into Canal
ELK GROVE (CBS13) — A minivan was pulled from a canal after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday.
The crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. at Elk Grove Florin Road and Valley Oak Lane near Elk Grove High School.
One person pulled from the minivan suffered major injuries.
Elk Grove Police spokesman Chris Trim says it could have been a more dangerous situation with kids leaving school.
"Very surreal situation for them because timing either way could have resulted in a more serious situation where they could have been struck by a vehicle spinning out of control," he said.
The road has since reopened.
