Deputies Say Man Held Woman Captive Three Days

LINDA (CBS13) - Neighbors in the small town of Linda are shocked at what deputies said happened in an apartment.

"To even know that right behind me this was even going on, it's terrifying," said neighbor Jessica Sandoval.

A desperate detention, deputies said 38-year-old Tyrone Dyson spent the last three days holding a woman hostage in his apartment. Allegedly, he repeatedly raped her, abused her, and threatened to kill her if she left.

Deputies say she eventually found an opportunity to run and call for help.

Anita Harmon lives next door and had no clue anything was going on until patrol cars descended on the complex Saturday. She says Dyson even tried to escape from the back.

"He was already over the fence trying to take off, and they caught him on the other side of the fence," said Harmon.

It was the end of an apparent three days of torture, with the capture of a man that left many feeling uneasy.

"Creepy, yes, really creepy, I knew something weird was going on there, but I never imagined that," said Harmon.
